Welcome! This blog is just a little space for me to publish my thoughts and ideas on being a church sound guy and technical consultant. What is there to say about such a thing? Well, you can check back often to find out.
I have worked with audio reinforcement systems for church and para church groups (and a few others) for about seven years now. Much of what I have learned I have gathered over the internet (see my links for some good sources), and I want to contribute so that the next person who got the job mixing services because he or she "walked to close to the sound booth" can have something useful pop up in their search results. Not to mention that publishing something, somewhere gets me back to the days when I was working toward a journalism degree that is collecting dust while I chase knowledge in other technical pursuits.
Enough babbling already. When I get an idea, insight, or some such thing, I'll post, you can read, and all of our worship services will be perfectly mixed and feedback free (okay, so you'll beat me to that table, but save me a seat). Enjoy.
